Love of orchids and conservation of habitat both played a role in Oklahoma City’s 2021 show.
After a long period of show cancellations due to the COVID pandemic, both orchid clubs and the public were eager to get back to seeing beautiful orchid displays, and purchasing some wonderful new additions to their collections.
The Oklahoma City Orchid Society did itself proud in hosting this very successful show on October 2-3. With a theme of “Bewitched by Orchids” it added a fun atmosphere, allowing displays to feature Halloween-related decor to the displays.
Orchid Art by Charles Hess was happy to participate in the show. It was my privilege to have entries both in the Conservation and Art categories. And, as always, I sold prints, notecards, and other orchid-related items to raise funds for conservation.
