Chile makes conservation history – five new national parks
Chile’s new “Route of Parks”, spanning more than 1,500 miles, and encompassing more than 15,600 square miles, is an historic move in conservation and preservation of wildlife habitat. The total area protected is three times the size of Yosemite and Yellowstone national parks combined.
The land for these parks comes from a private donation from a U.S. conservation organization.
