Biomimicry is “the imitation of the models, systems, and elements of nature for the purpose of solving complex human problems”, according to Wikipedia.

We humans don’t need to keep re-inventing the wheel – and often doing a bad job of it.  Nature has already devised some astonishing solutions to problems which are still confounding mankind. All we have to do is take a good look at the natural world, and the answers we need are readily available.

Nature has designed systems which require minimum energy, generate minimum waste, and incur the least cost. By learning from technology designed by nature, and adapting this knowledge for our own use, we can have a better, safer, more beautiful, and healthier planet.
